Close Protection

Close Protection is a very special area of expertise and from one Security Company to another is the Question you need to be asking, are they qualified or experienced enough in this area. This is a very valid question as the training of a Close quarter Protection Officer as that of the night watchman has changed dramatically over the last 10 to 15 years.
For example a Government protection System works on the old principle for every job one man. The private sector however cannot apply this method as the manpower is the first area where cost controlling for any company today is first hit if they want to survive.
Therefore the present day C.P Officer must be able to carry out several rolls efficiently and more effectively.
His or her duties are not just to protect his customer from a third party but also to anticipate and recognize many forms of threats. Today the C.P Officer must be able to recognize and locate any foreign devises positioned on the vehicle or in the environment of which is in use at that particular time. The Officer must be able to adapt to any given location where he is able to position himself so as to be able to have a good all-round view of the immediate surroundings and all of the access points but still be able to react efficiently to any given threat without endangering the customer. In other words a two man team needs to be able to carry out the job of a Standard Team of 4 men used in a similar Government Protection Set-up. This means the training of this person has been adapted and is of an exceptional high standard.
The protection required for each customer is very individual. The Following factors, location, area of work, or business dealings generally dictate the threat level and the counter measures needed to be taken in every case.
What is meant by the wording Threat, well the most obvious is the threat of life to oneself. However there are other levels, as in the immediate threat to ones Family or inner circle- friends. Maybe the threat is at an industrial level where information or knowledge is of vital importance for a Company. So as not to be of general use to other company's in an ever growing competitive environment. This will mean kidnapping prevention procedures in the worst case or counter intelligent procedures such as counter surveillance i.e. listening device recognition, video observation and other not so well known systems used to gather information. These are just some of the additional areas covered in the training of a present day C.P Officer at F&M Security.
What our company is able to offer our potential clients is a very specialized training which is carried out intern and is kept up to date through our C.P Manager for Operations who is an Ex-Member of a British Special Forces Unit who worked and accumulated his experience world wide
Being prepared and thinking ahead to quietly eliminate threats before they develop is a critical part of successful personal protection. It is the mindset and the ability that sets C.P officers apart from other security companies.
